Love My Face

4 x 45’

Led by disability campaigner Jono Lancaster, Love My Face follows people with a range of visible facial differences as they seek support, advice and explore transformative treatments to help accept or address their differences.

Ideally we’d all be accepted for who we are but research shows that society can be unfair to people who have visible facial differences. It could be a feature someone was born with or the result of a trauma or a condition. It might be a skin complaint or one specific feature someone has been made to feel sad about.

In each episode, three people with facial differences - whether congenital, chronic, acquired or perceived – receive unique mental health support from Jono, who has first-hand experience of how the world can treat people differently simply because of how they look. Jono will support each person to examine why they want to change their face, how they could learn to love themselves, and explore whether medical treatments and procedures are really the best route for their individual circumstances.

The contributors will then meet with a team of elite facial medical experts who will explore potential bespoke treatment plans that use state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge equipment and techniques to potentially help transform the elements of their condition or appearance that trouble them most. Whether they choose to follow this route or not, they’ll be supported every step of the way.
